Een stofzuiger robot blijft een beetje een speeltje. Maar ik moet zeggen dat de Neato XV-15 zijn werk wel goed doet.
Het grote verschil met de roomba robots is het feit dat het apparaat zich bewust is van de omgeving en niet random door de ruimte zeilt maar systematisch je huis schoon maakt. Je ziet de robot ook echt baantjes trekken door je huis. De robot heeft een ingebouwde laser waarmee objecten worden waargenomen zodat de robot ook niet continue overal tegenaan botst. Het is gewoon bijna fascinerend om te zien hoe de robot zijn weg vind door het huis.
De robot heeft een rubberen borstel die redelijk schoon blijft. Na een sessie hoef je alleen even het opvangbakje te legen. Dit bakje is heel makkelijk toegankelijk en het filter heb je binnen 30 seconden schoon. Verder heeft de robot vrijwel geen onderhoud nodig.
Het grootste nadeel is het geluid. De stofzuiger doet goed zijn werk maar maakt daarbij echt veel lawaai. De zuigmotor maakt op zich al behoorlijk geluid, maar de roterende rubber borstel maakt het echt fors. Je kunt de robot dus beter schoon laten maken als je niet thuis bent.
Verder geen klachten over de robot. Met een USB kabel kun je via Windows de machine van de nieuwste firmware voorzien, wat prima ging.Posted by Lourens, 29/12/2011 10:27am (5 months ago)
