In Delft, the focus is on Bio-robotics. The biology-inspired robots, with a focus on humanoid robots. Groups that the TU distincts are walking robots, robot arms and grippers.

Delft Biorobotics Laboratory

Bio-robotics means robots with biologically inspired designs and / or biology-related applications, such as bipedal walking machines and robots arms for rehabilitation. With bio-robotics the TU wants to counteracts conventional industrial robots, who are often heavily dependent on control algorithms, rigid and heavy structures, and high-power motors.

Robocup

TU Delft focuses on building a service robot for the RoboCup @ Home competition. Graduate students will be fully concetrated on the humanoid soccer robot running technique of the Tulip, to prepare for the 2013 competition.
