The Proton Robot electronics magazine Elektor presents a versatile robotic platform that is ideal for students, but also for hobbyists and professionals. The issue Proton Robot is a self-building system that expand simple in many directions. The robot not only offers a wide range of sensors and actuators, but also works with different microcontroller families. The user decides which microcontroller will be used as the heart of the robot and which language will be used.

The motherboard is equipped with extra I/O-,-signal, RS232, SPI and I2C connectors and there is enough space in the robot to present its projects to build. It would be nice to control the robot with your mobile, via Bluetooth or WiFi. or let robots communicate with each other. Install a camera and work with image recognition or let the robot respond to voice commands. The issue Proton Robot was designed by Bart Huyskens, a passionate lecturer electronics and embedded systems at the St. Joseph Institute in Schoten (B) .
