The High School south includes a Computer Science course for designing, building and managing software for robots. As an architect building a house, you build software programs that control robot devices. The high school includes several NAO robots where the develop software for.

The high school south includes a Research Centre "Technology in Care". There is much research into the use of robots and remote care. Example projects are:

The Robot Zuyd wants to develop an existing, simple robot suitable for difficult tasks. It is intended that more older people remain independent at home by the robot through helping older people with washing, eating, dressing and medication. The robot project includes research groups from different European countries.
